Periodic Reporting for period 1 - INSERV M-V (Establishing the new EEN Services for the Enhancing the Innovation Management Capacity of SME's in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern)

Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

INSERV M-V is a package of assessments, proceedings, consultations to give support to establish innovation management and internationalization in SME's. INSERV M-V can be seen as a piloting phase of the “Enhancing the innovation management capacity of SMEs” program within the
Enterprise Europe Network services.
In summary the objective was to assess the innovation process, the innovation strategy and internal organizations as well as the relation of the SME's with innovation partners. The implemented work packages were realized exemplary in five SME's in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,
Northern Germany.
The proposed and realized service offered service packages, three packages of EIMIC and one package of KAM. EIMC comprised activities for enhancing of innovation management capacities of the SME and KAM, the key account management process, was obligatory foreseen to beneficiaries
of the SME instrument. The EIMC has been performed in a flexible way to those SME's with high innovation potentials and ambitions for internationalization.

Because of the pilot phase character of the INSERV MV the number of the assessed and consulted SME's was limited to five and the time budged was limited to a short period of two month at all. Nevertheless it can be stated the project achieved the proposed goals mainly.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

The work was performed during the reported time period in November and December 2014.
Because of this short period the work had to be accelerated but nevertheless it can be stated that the project achieved the proposed goals mainly.

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

The expected final results and their potential impact has achieved as proposed. These were mainly the enhancing of the capacities in the field of innovation management; initiating and preparing of R&D projects; creation of awareness for quality management in conjunction with innovation and product development; sensitizing and starting of a processes for internationalization in the consulted SME's.
