Demand and supply analysis report

This deliverable will report the types of supply analyses conducted in relation to the demand analysis and how this work has been implemented in the EDSA dashboard. The report will also describe how the demand and supply data are presented in the dashboard and how users are able to interact with this data in order to explore the current demand and supply

Data science curricula 3

This iterated deliverable will contain the data science curricula produced by the project, which will be targeting a variety of industry sectors and roles within these sectors. These curricula will be revised and refined based on the demand analysis of WP1 and reflecting on the evaluations with stakeholders conducted in WP3.

Project Showcase

This deliverable will organise show cases for the courses, services and other deliverables developed in this project.

Report on the delivery of video lectures, webinars and face-to-face-trainings 2

Three successive reports on the courses delivered. In particular, recommendations will be given for the curricula, learning resources and future delivery.

The EDSI Charter

The EDSI Charter will form the foundation of EDSI It will define the responsibilities of the member organisations to steward the outputs of the project Further it will prolong the activities of the project enabling future studies to be carried out and further curricular to be developed with suitable materials to suit new methods of delivery

Lessons learned and best practices from the production of learning resources

This deliverable will report on the overall lessons learned and the best practices derived from the production of multimodal and multilingual learning resources. In particular, we will describe the approach we adopted for the development and delivery of our learning resources. We will also reflect on the successes and failures of this approach and describe how it was adapted based on the community feedback. Finally, we will present the best practices derived from this process.

Preliminary individual, joint and external exploitation plans

Preliminary version of individual, joint and external exploitation plans will continually evolve throughout the project. These plans will detail and quantify each partner’s usage of the projects outputs.

Real-world and online community engagement plan

This deliverable will be based upon a study of which “real world” activities (meetups, focus groups, hackathons), the social media channels (mailing lists, wikis, blogs) to be strategically targeted by the project, and will plan a series of EDSA-organized events. A plan will be put in place for feedback-solicitation and continued engagement. In particular we will propose how impact related to those channels will be monitored throughout the project’s timeline.

Final community engagement and networking report

This deliverable will report on the complete EDSA participation in external events, social media engagement, distribution of the dissemination materials, and the feedback received. A longevity plan will outline successful events and their potential adoption by new projects and collaborations.

Data science curricula 2

This iterated deliverable will contain the data science curricula produced by the project, which will be targeting a variety of industry sectors and roles within these sectors. These curricula will be revised and refined based on the demand analysis of WP1 and reflecting on the evaluations with stakeholders conducted in WP3.

Individual, joint and external exploitation plans will continually evolve throughout the project. These plans will detail and quantify each partner’s usage of the projects outputs.

Interim community engagement and networking report

This deliverable will report on our participation in external events, and on the delivery of, and feedback from, EDSA events in the both real-world and online. The plan from D4.3 will be revised in light of this feedback.

Establishing EDSI

The European Data Science Institute will represent the projects legacy. It will bring together organisations that have all signed the EDSI charter under one banner of excellence. The launch of the EDSI will create a significant web presence and brand that will carry forward the work of the project.

Study evaluation report 2

This is second report (first delivered in M6). The results of the studies will be evaluated and presented in a single output that will provide a three dimensional analysis of the demands for data science training crossing many sectors and needs within those sectors. This dashboard view of data science training demand will allow stakeholders to quickly view the perspective of Europe, as well as each country covered during the study. Accompanying the dashboard will be an executive summary detailing the significant findings, a recommendation for curricula development and a brief discussion of future opportunities for further studies. Where possible, open data will be provided such that others can also download the raw data and evaluate the project’s findings.

Report on the delivery of video lectures, webinars and face-to-face trainings 3

Three successive reports on the courses delivered. In particular, recommendations will be given for the curricula, learning resources and future delivery.

Industry advisory board

The final members list of people on the industry advisory will be published publicly on the project website along with agreed descriptions of each member’s role and involvement. All members should be open to being listed publically, at least as company and sector. A public listing will only be withheld as a last resort.

Project exploitation report

This deliverable will detail the total exploitation of the project outputs and begin to quantify the projects reach and potential impact. The report will cover internal, joint and external exploitation of project outputs and give details of each. Further the report will offer a breakdown of sectors and targets of the project and suggest future opportunities for effective exploitation. This report will be used to evaluate the project’s success against the objectives and outline how EDSA has fulfilled the demand for data science training in Europe and with its related value.

Report on the evaluation of course content and delivery 2

Two successive reports on the results of the analysis of feedback data in Task 3.4, to be used for improving the curricula, learning resources and delivery.

Study design document

Lead: ODI This deliverable will detail the different qualitative and quantitative studies to be carried out in order to establish cross sector demand for data science training. The outline of the qualitative studies will include a template of the questionnaire and variations for each sector and industry type. A brief discussion on survey methodology and opportunities for evaluation will also be included. Finally a list of associates that will carry out the surveys and collate results will also be provided with associated costs (as described in section 2.3.5.1 of Part B). This deliverable will also outline the quantitative evaluation techniques and critically evaluate how each relates to the qualitative questionnaire. This deliverable will develop further the comprehensive study in section 1.3 to demonstrate the evolution of demand for data science training across many sectors.

Key figures of attained audience

This deliverable reports the measurable figures achieved by EDSA in communication with the public, including: views of learning materials, mentions in media, size and activity of social media (e.g. followers). We will also incorporate a qualitative summary of results and lessons learned. We will pay particular attention to monitoring and measuring the impact of dissemination materials.

Final EDSA Data Management Plan

A final version of the DMP, which will focus on sustainability, curation and preservation aspects.

Updated EDSA Data Management Plan

An update to the EDSA Data Management Plan taking into account new and emerging EDSA datasets. The DMP will be continuously updated as the project progresses.

Initial EDSA Data Management Plan

This deliverable will outline the first version of the EDSA Data Management Plan as part of our participation in the Open Research Data Pilot. The DMP will outline the datasets which we will make public for the pilot answering as far as we can the items mentioned above (types of data, standards to be used, verification, re-use, curation and preservation).

Learning resources 3

This iterated deliverable will contain the learning resources, i.e. the courses and eBook, produced in every year of the project. The courses will be represented as learning pathways, which will be adaptable and configurable so that they can be customised for different learning contexts. The eBook will be produced in two formats: Apple iBooks for iPads and MacOS, as well as ePUB for all other tablets and desktop computers. This deliverable will be accompanied by a document describing it.
