Deliverables

Final implementation of the northbound interfaces and planning and computation modules

This deliverable provides the description of the implementation activities of the APIs, the primitives for the programmability and the modules for the path computation and the in-operation network planning. The deliverable will include the software code.

Evaluation of the ACINO approach in the emulated environment

This deliverable is a report about the integration activities between the orchestrator implemented in WP4 and the application-centric optimization solutions investigated in WP3. It also presents the results of the performance evaluation of the latter in the emulated testbed.

Report on the design of programmability elements for in-operation network control

Report that presents the design considerations to include programmable features to a set of specific orchestrator elements and to provide a valid set of primitives offered to the operators for controlling the type of applications.

Project website and communication kit

This deliverable will set up and document the project website and the necessary management and communication web-based infrastructure for the project.

Final implementation of ACINO orchestrator

This deliverable summarizes the activity related to the implementation of the ACINO orchestrator. First of all, it reports the implementation of the control plane protocols used to provision the resources. Then, it describes the activity of integration of the different modules of the control plane. Finally, it reports the results of the preliminary functionality tests carried out on the developed orchestrator. The deliverable will include the software code.

Validation and performance evaluation of the ACINO concept in the physical testbed

This deliverable primarily reports the integration procedures, the experimental measurement activities and the results of the orchestrated ACINO test-bed. The purpose of this final report is to evaluate the ACINO application-centric concept applied to the use-cases defined in D5.1 by means of a test-bed composed by commercial IP and optical nodes.

The framework for the application-centric network orchestrator

Report that provides a detailed description of all the required elements of the network orchestrator, their functions and their interoperability.

Additional evaluation studies and possible extensions on the developed application aware multi-layer framework

Report on the results of the additional performance evaluation studies and the comparison studies with optimized multi-layer application unaware cases. It includes description of modification and algorithmic improvements.

This deliverable provides a report on the definition and setup of the testbed, on the use-case scenarios to be demonstrated and on the specification of the performance metrics that will be taken into account.

Resource allocation and path computation algorithms that are delivered for implementation in WP4 and report on their evaluation considering various optimization parameters.

This document finalizes the use-cases and the application requirements, based on the feedbacks provided by the other WPs. It also includes preliminary techno-economic studies based on algorithms from WP3 adding a cost model for the network elements.

Cross layer planning and optimization strategies

Report that identifies the methodologies and the approaches that must be used in order to offer optimized planning solutions primarily between the IP layer and the flexible optical data plane, in the presence of an application centric resource allocation mechanism.

Data management Plan

Creation (in M06) and continuous update (until M36) by all partners of a Data Management Plan (DMP) describing what data will be collected, processed or generated and following what methodology and standards, whether and how this data will be shared and/or made open, and how it will be curated and preserved. The plan will be made available on the project website to and referenced by scientific papers and other dissemination activities in the project.
