European guide and recommendations for the combined funding of large-scale RDI initiatives

Deliverables

Periodic Report, including financial statement (opens in new window)

Official communication with the EC on the status of the different tasks and the results achieved so far, possible unexpected events and measures to tackle them and, finally, financial reports by members of the project. Due date: Month 12.

Synthesis of survey results (opens in new window)

Survey to stakeholders of around 100 large-scale RDI initiatives will be synthesised in this deliverable. It will include one factsheet per initiative. Includes a factsheet per initiative.

Methodological framework on case initiative development (opens in new window)

This report will discuss the approach to the assessment, not the development of the investment plan (this is tailor made to the cases).

Report on the interviews (opens in new window)

Document summarizing the interviews’ results: number, type, main conclusions, exceptions/outliers, etc.

Intermediate Periodic Reports (opens in new window)

Document describing the development of tasks up to that point, with additional description of the coming tasks and their expected results and impacts. Due date: Month 6.

Detailed description of the messages to be issued, their targeted recipients, timing-periodicity and channels to be used accordingly.

Template of the survey (to be used in WP2) as well as detailed explanation on how to use it and its rationale.

List and overview of cases selected for in-depth analysis (opens in new window)

List and overview of cases selected for in-depth analysis: 20 diverse cases will be selected for in-depth analysis.

Report assessment match/mismatch and issues with combined funding (opens in new window)

Assessment of the possibilities of combining funding, as well as their issues and limitations. Also recommendations for adjustments will be provided to public and private institutions.

Evaluation report concerning possible case initiatives (opens in new window)

In this report, the identified initiatives will be described, using the criteria for selection as structuring mechanism. This will act as a discussion document for the final selection.

Systematic overview of typical public and private funding mechanisms available, with their pros and cons.

Cross-case analysis and top large-scale RDI initiatives (opens in new window)

Analytic study on the different initiatives, with their main characteristics, success factors and barriers, and suitability of the different instruments across Europe.

In these reports, the lessons learned will be described, but also a more conceptual description of the investment plan.

Design and development of project website (opens in new window)

The website includes access to the public documents of the project to facilitate the dissemination of current instruments and best practices.
