Auctions for Renewable Energy Support: Effective use and efficient implementation options

Livrables

Webinar (on usage of online tool) (on task 8.2)

We will undertake this webinar in order to familiarise potential users with the functionality of the online policy tool (D8.3). This deliverable is thus a training activity in the use of the tool.

International Workshop (in Brussels) (on task 8.2)

Fraunhofer together with CONCITO will organise an international workshop with roughly 30 participants in order to get feedback on the relevance of the auction design packages and to identify the most important combination of user preferences.

Regional workshops (4) (on task 7.2)

Four regional workshops with 30-40 participants each will be undertaken: in Copenhagen by DTU, in London by UNEXE, in Warsaw by DTU, and in Madrid by CSIC – all in close cooperation with CONCITO.

Webinar (on task 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3)

The results from WP5 will be presented in this webinar. The webinar is organised by TU Wien in close cooperation with CONCITO.

Online policy support tool (on task 8.2)

The results of the identification, description and evaluation of ‘auction design packages’ will be integrated into an online tool (D8.3), which will be a transparency tool that collects and analyses design features from existing case studies using auctions and potential future design options. Based on stated preferences, the policy support tool will show likely consequences of implementing a given auction design package on some important success factors.

International Workshop (to get input) (in Brussels) (on task 2.2)

The first International Workshop of the project will be held in Brussels, organised by CSIC in close cooperation with CONCITO. The workshop will gather additional information on important policy goals, evaluation criteria, as well as help to align the expected project outputs with the interests of policy makers and other stakeholders.

Webpage online (continuously updated afterward) (on task 10.1 and 10.3)

The project website shall be online by project month 3, and then continuously updated.

Webinar (on all project results (on task 9.2)

For those interested parties who cannot attend the final conference, a webinar will be organised by DTU in close cooperation with CONCITO.

International workshop (interpretation and application of project results) (on task 9.1)

The international workshop, dedicated to discussing the insights and consequences from European perspective, with 30-40 participants will be organised in Brussels by DTU in close cooperation with CONCITO.

Final conference (on task 10.2)

The final conference will be organised by CONCITO, with contributions from all project partners, approx. one month before the end of the project.

International Workshop (in London or Brussels) (on task 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3)

UNEXE will, in close cooperation with CONCITO, organise an international Workshop with 30-40 participants in London or Brussels, which will disseminate the WP6 results.

Webinar (on task 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3)

All WP4 results will be presented in a webinar at the end of the Work Package. The webinar is organised by Ecofys in close cooperation with CONCITO.

Report (on task 6.2)

This report will include the results of task 6.2 on relative impacts of auction and non-auction options on the performance of the overall renewable support.

Report (on task 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3)

Report on the results of the work package, including separate chapters for all three tasks 2.1-2.3.

Report (country studies) (on task 4.1 and 4.2)

The deliverable will be a comprehensive report for the results of tasks 4.1 and 4.2, including international experiences with auctions, including chapters for each case (country study).

Report Denmark (on task 7.3)

This report summarizes the model-based analysis from task 7.3 for Denmark

Report (on task 7.1)

This report will describe the cases of task 7.1, on future auction implementation options, including market conditions, policy targets, and framework conditions.

Report (on task 6.1 and 6.3)

This report will summarise all results from tasks 6.1 and 6.3.

Project communication strategy (on task 10.1)

The development of a project communication strategy will be documented in this report already by project month 2.

Report (on task 8.1)

The results of the identification, description and evaluation of ‘auction design packages’ will be described in this report.

Research article (submitted to journal) (on task 3.3)

The theoretical analysis and the results of task 3.3 will be presented in a scientific research paper, which we intend to publish in peer-reviewed international journals.

Summary report (on task 7.2)

This report summarizes deliverable 7.3

Report (on task 5.2 and 5.3)

The results from the tasks 5.2 and 5.3 will be presented in this report. The report will feature a thorough description of the methodology in order to make the outcomes as comprehensible as possible and provide justification for possibly implementing certain auction types.

Report (on task 3.1 and 3.2)

Relevant results of tasks 3.1 and 3.2 will be made directly accessible to the network and the public through publication of a report. Different auction types will be described and evaluated in particular regarding their applicability to certain RES-E support instruments. Potential implications of design choices on the auction process and its results under specific renewable market conditions will be shown.

Report (on task 7.3)

This report will summarise the model-based analysis on the concrete cases from task 7.3.

Report (on task 3.3)

policy memos about design elements: secondary objectives, pre-qualifications, award types, and effect on competition

Report (on task 5.1)

The results from task 5.1 will be presented in this report. The report will feature a thorough description of the methodology in order to make the outcomes as comprehensible as possible and provide justification for possibly implementing certain auction types.

Report (synthesis of whole project) (on task 9.1 and 9.2)

This synthesis report will summarize all project results, including the results from the analysis in task 9.1.

Report (additional country studies)

The deliverable will be a comprehensive report on additional international experiences complementing this work package. They will provide additional empirical basis for work packages 6, 8, 9

Mid term report (on task 6.1)

Preliminary results of task 6.1 will be made available in this mid term report (month 15).

Research article (submitted to journal) (on task 3.1 and 3.2)

The theoretical analysis undertaken in tasks 3.1 and 3.2 will be presented in a scientific research paper, which we intend to publish in peer-reviewed international journals.

Report (on task 3.4)

Relevant results of the experiments undertaken in task 3.4 will be made directly accessible to the network and the public through publication of a report.

Report (synthesis) (on task 4.3)

Synthesis report from task 4.3, including general lessons learnt from country cases and specific recommendations.
