Unlined screened rooms cannot be used for accurate electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurements because of resonances. Our technique enables these resonances to be damped by partially lining the walls with magnetic absorber (ferrite tiles). The cost of the absorber is a small fraction of that used in a fully-lined anechoic chamber, while the improvement in performance is sufficient for the room to be used for many EMC measurements.
