The feasibility study elaborated by Quintetto S.r.l. represents the preliminary and propaedeutic phase of the decisional process that has brought the company to take the decision to invest in the development, production and commercialization of Q-Room, an innovative tele-relationship system based on digital holography. General objective of the study was to individuate if, and under what conditions, the Q-Room project could satisfy a specific demand for services and solutions in the most innovative, efficient and effective way. Specific objective of the feasibility study produced by Quintetto was the elaboration of a business plan aiming to the test the viability of the Q-Room, from the ideas of holographic telepresence, tele-relationship and tele-operations, to the structured concept of all the activities needed to introduce it on the market. Such business plan was meant to focus on the path to carry the innovation in the last phase of development, before its market readiness, definitely assessing its technical, technological and financial viability. IPR and national legislation analysis was also programmed in order to assess the legal rights connected to the innovation and potential licensing agreement.
During the 5-month duration of the project, the following tasks have been carried out, and the subsequent results obtained:
1) Market analysis;
2) IPR Regime analysis and IPR Strategy definition;
3) Definition of a commercialization strategy;
4) of further development activities workflow;
5) Financial risk assessment;
6) Technical and technological feasibility assessment.
Thanks to a deep analysis of the market, Quintetto has, first, delimited its target segments for a first introduction of the Q-Room on the market and confirmed its freedom to operate. Then, it more clearly defined the future activities the company will have to carry out to complete the product development. Thanks to the financial assessment carried out during the project and the analysis of the engineering phases of Q-Room, Quintetto was able to define an effective pricing and commercialization strategy.
After conclusion of the innovation project, with the Q-Room Quintetto will provide an efficient solution to those companies and organizations willing to build, strengthen and maintain a strong relationship with their customers, not just to enhance their satisfaction, but also to achieve sustainable growth and high profitability by focusing on dedicated customer centricity.
