This Project has produced the world´s MOST COMPETITIVE DEPTH CAMERA for SMART PHONES.

We enable LOWER COSTS and HIGHER PERFORMANCE applications in:
FACE RECOGNITION,
GESTURE RECOGNITION,
IMPROVED BOKEH-EFFECT,
VR-AR CONTENT GENERATION (VIRTUAL REALITY-AUGMENTED REALITY),

We BEAT COMPETITION by offering:
Higher RESOLUTION (1.4 MPIXEL) DEPTH MAPS AND IMAGES.
REAL TIME depth maps (30 fps) and images.
Better depth measurement PRECISION for shorter and longer distances.
Lower BULKYNESS, lower COMPONENT COUNT and lower COSTS.
Lower POWER CONSUMPTION.
Higher RELIABILITY depth maps and operation.


Technology developed in this Project will be used by major Smartphone manufacturers all over the world.

This disruptive device is aiming towards significant market-shares in imaging modules, accelerating our growth and Europe´s Competitive position in Smart Mini Cameras for imaging. We introduced a paradigm changer in one of the highest growth areas addressable in consumer technologies.
We developed a depth-camera offering simultaneously depth-maps and real-time images (at 30 fps, frames per second).

We designed the optics, the electronics and the algorithms to compute the depth maps from the acquired images.

Our camera (see attached images) aims to global leadership in depth cameras for mobile telephony, targetting to ship several hundred million cameras embedded in mobile devices by 2022 and beyond.
Our single lens depth and image camera beats state of the the art competing technologies offering better lateral resolution, depth-estimation capabilities, real-time refresh rates (fps) and lower costs than TOF (Time of Flight), SL (Structured Light) and Stereo-cameras.

A disruptive device as our camera has never been produced by anybody else in the world, both from the advanced hardware and the algorithmic points of view.

Competitive advantages beyond state of the art will allow us to aim for a leading position in a high-growth niche of a market approaching 2 billion units shipments per year.
