Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

LAMBERPROM is a prosperous and young company in Spain that provides Advanced Technology Solutions to the manufacturing industry. Our vision is to become a leading worldwide supplier of innovative software solutions for SMEs in the manufacturing industry. In line with this, we aim at growing our business by taking our Industrial FW 4.0 idea to the market: an open, cloud-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that in the first place targets SMEs in the pharmaceutical, food&beverage and the fine chemists sectors.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

The execution of the INDUSTRIAL FW 4.0 Phase 1 has been successfully completed with only minor deviations. The main conclusion is that the planned product is likely to succeed commercially. Therefore, we plan to apply for a Phase 2 project of the SMNE instrument as the immediate result of the Phase 1 execution.
As a part of the project we have executed of a Market Study that has allowed us to select the sectors and national markets that are more attractive to us. The project has also allowed us to study the current competitors in the market. This is especially relevant since we have been able to detect some competitors that offer cloud MES and compare our proposal to their product, verifying our competitive advantages. We have studied the main regulations and standards that relate to our product. This is a critical issue since regulations like the 21CFR11 and the Annex 11 are a key element of our potential customers’ requirements while standards such as ISA-95 have implications in the interoperability of our system with business systems.
Finally, we have planned the execution of the Phase 2 project, preparing the work plan for the next step of the project and we have also planned the commercialization of the INDUSTRIAL FW 4.0 results.

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

We plan to apply for a Phase 2 project under the topic ICT-37: Open Disruptive Innovation Scheme. This Phase 2 proposal will be focused in the following objectives:
• To complete the development of the INDUSTRIAL FW 4.0 prototype.
• To demonstrate our systems in the 3 targeted sectors with deployments that range from an almost plug&play deployment to more complex deployments that include the development of custom made Apps.
• To establish a solid network of integrators; especially in France and Germany, since we already have this network in Spain.
• To update our Business Plan according to the market evolution.
