"Materiomics has investigated the technical and commercial feasibility of the production of cell culture ware products with augmented capabilities to culture cells (""F-CCW""). The improvement of functionality is achieved through including designed surface topographies in the surface of cell culture products.
The conclusions are :
-The functional topographies can successfully transferred to moulds that are used for the manufacturing of cell culture ware products
-Moulds with functional topographies can be used in an injection moulding process and thereby allowing high-volume low-costs production of F-CCW
-In pharmaceutical testing, toxicology testing and in production of cells for cell therapies there is an increasing demand for functionally improved products
-The market opportunity for F-CCW is north of € 200 million.
-Production and marketing of F-CCW is a interesting business case.
-Materiomics will continue its efforts to become the leading supplier of F-CCW products in 2022.
several technologies with the potential to transfer micro scale topographies to metal mould have been evaluated.
samples have been produced using one of the technologies that were evaluated.
based on the mould sample a proof of principle production for injection moulding was preformed
the functionality of the products that were produced using the test mould was tested.
Conclusions :
With the chosen technology functional ecceftivex products can be produced.

A market survey( both face to-face key opinion leaders interviews and analysis of market reports ) has been per formed to identify both the qualitative and quantitive make needs
Based on the interviews applications for F-CCW have been identified.
Based on the market report survey an estimation of potential revenues has been prepared.

Using the input from market survey and feed back of possibilities and production costs for injection moulding a business plan and investment budget has been prepared.
Introduction of F-CCW products will allow better research using hepatocytes which allows better research in treatment of malaria.
Introduction of F-CCW product will facilitate design of better tests for impacts of pharmaceuticals avoiding fault positives and negatives and thereby reducing costs of development of new pharmaceutical products.
The number of animal for pharmaceutical and toxicology testing cab be substantially reduces thanks to development of new testing methods using F-CCW products
