Periodic Reporting for period 1 - VasQ (An innovative external brace to ensure patency and maturity of arteriovenous fistulas in haemodialysis patients.) Reporting period: 2015-12-01 to 2016-03-31 Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project During the Phase 1 feasibility study Laminate undertook a deep study of the technical aspects of its VasQ device including industrialisation and benefits. Business elements examined included deep market analysis and an in-depth customer/end-user study. The activities contributed to the development of a plan to bring the medical device to market and the decision to apply for Phase 2 funding through the SME Instrument. Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far Partners were investigated and engaged for carrying out production of the device. The type of clinical trial required to commercialise the device was identified and elaborated. Users were contacted and accounted for in the report. A clinical synopsis for the trial was prepared. The value chain was filled out by the addition of the partners to the consortium. Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far) The only medical device in its field which improves the maturation/usability rate of arteriovenous fistulas over time. The device.
