Objective
This project is aimed at improving the understanding of blast furnace operations at high injection rates. The research work will study the combustion of coal under blast furnace operating conditions and in particular in the raceway. The effects on blast furnace operations of injecting iron ore and flux materials with coal and oxygen, especially hot metal quality, will also be examined.
