Objective The research consists mainly of: - characterizing the behaviour of the granules and micro-pellets during drying and heat shock from the combustion front, - linking this behaviour to the intrinsic properties of the constituents of the mix and to the sintering conditions on the belt, - seeking optimum conditions for the production of a first-class sinter with a low energy consumption and using a maximum of ore fines and ultra-fines.
