Objective
The aim of the study is to improve the continuous casting of free-machining steels having low carbon contents. In this connection, it is envisaged to investigate shrinkage and cross-sectional changes during the straightening of rectangular billets. Data from the literature to develop models will also be collected. This work will be carried out in close collaboration with the proposal from Agrupación I+D (P2338) included in this programme.
