Objective
The aim of this research project is to investigate metallurgical effects during plasma heating of steels melts, including interactions between the steel melt and the gaseous phase, and the possibility of modifying final steel analysis through the control of alloying elements. This project extends and supplements previous ECSC research projects into plasma heating of ladles and tundishes.
