Application of finite element methods in hot rolling and deep drawing

Objective

The aim of this multi-national project is to apply finite element methods to simulate the process of hot rolling and deep drawing. The simulation methods will be applied to hot rolled products (strip and long products) and to galvanised deep drawn sheet. The project will define, in a detailed way, different aspects of true processes using theoritical models translated into numerical codes for materials of the same type and geometry and for the same rolling schedules. Laboratory and pilot scale tests will be performed to validate the methods.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
