Objective

This research project is intended to examine the recrystallization and grain size changes in austenitic stainless steel during multipass rolling of as-cast structures and to extend the proven range of recrystallized and final grain size data for these products. Experiments will be designed to cover most structural and rolling/annealing conditions encountered in steelworks practice using a laboratory plate mill.
