Objective
The aim of this research programme is to produce the relevant information, needed to select the type of steel, depending on the application and the desired mechanical properties of the welded structure. The data obtained in this research programme will be used to compare the production costs of several structures built either with BS 4360 Gr 50 or Fe E 460 steels.
