Objective
This research project is aimed at developing new, laboratory, accelerated atmospheric corrosion test procedures for the exterior of buildings and to perform these tests on various coated steels in order to evaluate and calibrate the new procedures. The development of a satisfactory accelerated cyclic test for atmospheric corrosion correlated with actual corrosion conditions in buildings would be invaluable in promoting coated steel in this domain.
