Objective
The project is aimed at obtaining greater understanding of the fracture resistance of duplex stainless steel under monotonic and cyclic loading, with different heat treatments as the variable factor. Small angle neutron scattering techniques will be used to study decomposition of the ferrite phase and associated fracture toughness and strength decay.
