Objective

The practicabilities of using infra-red absorption shall be assessed to indicate the state of curing of organic coatings on steel strip, on-line, on a process line. A prototype instrument shall be designed and built, and primary development shall be undertaken on a pilot sheet coating line followed by evaluation on a full industrial process line.
