Objective
The focus of the project will be the spring back behaviour of new high strength steels (Dual Phase and TRIP steels) and of low nickel stainless steels. There is a lack of knowledge about the spring back behaviour of these materials and prevision model based on the finite element approach can give results not enough accurate because of the implemented constitutive equation. In order to increase the use of these high strength steels, knowledge about their use has to be developed and reliable numerical tools and guideline for autobody design have to be established. These studies will result in guidelines for the use of such materials in autobody design and in improved and validated numerical tools that will be widely utilised for spring back prevision and compensation.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
