Objective
The recycling of steel plant wastes is becoming a problem of increasing significance to the Community's steel industry and it is important to have a clear understanding of the technical options available for the economic treatment of these materials. It is proposed, therefore, to undertake a comprehensive study of the process routes currently available in order to establish their suitability for the recycling of waste materials within the European steel industry. This study will be undertaken in close coordination with the project (7215-BA/102), which deals specifically with the INMETCO process.
