Objective
The main objective of the project is the design, development and implementation of an automatic system to examine, diagnose and control the state of metallic cables of heavy cranes and lifts where the safety of persons is involved. The system will detect, identify and classify any defect in the cables using inductive techniques. Remote logging of the information will help to evaluate the condition of the cables and will provide information which allows an intelligent system to take correct maintenance decisions.
