Contribution to C02 abatement In coal-fired power stations - impact on desulphurisation

Objective

The object of the research is to maximise the capture of CO2 in flue gases from power stations using various non-polluting chemical reagents. The proposal requests additional funding because of an administrative error in the budget proposal. The work of mainly laboratory experiments to be carried out by Coaltec e Ambiente in Portugal was only costed at the 60% grant level and not at full cost. This means that only 60% of the Portuguese support work can be done within the current budget. The missing works for coal analysis, determination of C02/kW emission index, study of the gases produced during combustion, testing solvent performance and a study of the possibility of economically recycling the solvent.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
