Objective
The aim of this proposal is, to develop and evaluate inorganic membranes, meant for the separation of fuel gas for gas turbines, produced by coal gasification.
Traditional separation systems that use adsorption methods could be used, but can be operated at ambient temperatures only. The possibility of membrane separation at high temperatures could be an interesting alternative.
Project activities will cover:
- preliminary study, which includes a review of the state of the art;
- test rig design;
- development of the ceramic supports;
- construction of the test rig;
- evaluation of membranes;
- overall assessment of the project.
