Completed workshop “Finite Element Modeling”

Technical skills and hands-on workshops in solving finite element modeling problems. The workshop will utilize Femlab and guide ETN fellows in using the software, modelling mechanical modes, modelling thermal transport and modelling optical modes.

Transferable skills workshop exploring career prospects open to ESRs after their PhD education, in the fields of industry (start-up, SME, large companies), academia and patent law.

Determine research secondments

Research secondments are “needs” driven and to be defined by the beginning of the 3rd year at the latest, and concern a stay of 1 – 3 months at one of the partners working on a similar topic. The aim is to complement the PhD thesis with expertise from one of the ETN partners and culminating ideally in a joint publication.
