Objective
There were three objectives:
1) the monitoring of high voltage (HV) electrical networks; a condition of the project was that the data transmission should be by means of the HV cable itself and that it should be possible to transmit data from parts of the system which had been switched off;
2) the monitoring of the ventilation by the use of an increased capacity CGA system;
3) the checking of the location of personnel underground in order to know where they are and whether, in case of fire, they have assembled at muster stations.
