INNOvative monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions on lightweight WAGon

Deliverables

Overall measurement concept for cargo condition monitoring system

Deliverable report presenting sensing system configuration, and details on installation, components for monitoring goods in both a container and a tank wagon.

Benchmark and market drivers for an integrated intelligent and lightweight wagon solution

Deliverable report presenting the benchmark results in all three areas/work streams, with respect to the identified market drivers and aspects related to the integration of novel technologies and solutions into a single concept.

Dissemination and communication plan

Summary report describing the communication and dissemination tools planned to be developed and employed within the project.

Specifications and requirements for INNOWAG technologies and solutions

Deliverable report summarising the requirements and technical specifications for the innovative technologies and solutions envisaged by INNOWAG’s work streams, including considerations on aspects related to a fully integrated system. This report validates milestone MS2 (agreement on specifications for further innovations).

Energy concept for cargo condition monitoring

Deliverable report presenting the required setup to enable the powering of the cargo condition monitoring system (potentially using a combination of vibration-based and RF-based energy harvesting technologies).

Models for reliability, statistical information, real time health status of the rolling stock, prognostic analysis, and economic data

A report illustrating the predictive analytical models developed for different types of damage relevant to the freight wagon.

Project management and quality plan

Deliverable report including guidelines, Gantt, Deliverable and Milestone tables, document and presentation templates, deliverable peer review process, risk register, etc.

Modelling and analyses of novel lightweight design solutions

Deliverable report including the simulation results and analyses in relation with the structural strength and vehicle dynamics.

Exploitation Report

An exploitation report about market uptake / standardisation & regulation potential will be delivered at the end of the project.

Set up an exploitation plan for the project

An exploitation plan for INNOWAG main results will be delivered at the beginning of the work package.

Wizard tool for maintenance policy optimisation

A report describing the Wizard tool for maintenance policy optimisation, i.e. a guided procedure for the operators to define the optimal maintenance policy based on reliability model of the system, the condition monitoring information available and cost data.

Report on the use of the results by Shift2Rail

This report will describe the level of use and acceptance of the results in the S2R-CFM-IP5-01-2015: Development of functional requirements for sustainable and attractive European rail freight, and more in general in relevant Shift2Rail IPs and CCAs.

Integration of cargo monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions on the lightweight wagon concept

Deliverable report providing recommendations and technical solutions for the integration of the project outcomes in a single intelligent wagon concept.

Cost-driven and reliability driven analysis of wagon condition data

A report summarising the selection of condition-related and maintenance data and the analyses performed on the data in a cost driven and reliability driven way.

Wireless data communication concept for cargo condition monitoring system

Deliverable report presenting elaborated concept for wireless data communication to ensure secure, regular and reliable transfer of information from the condition monitoring system to the respective recipients.

Freight vehicle lightweight concept design

Deliverable report presenting the novel lightweighting concepts to be integrated into a functional wagon design. In addition to the concept design of INNOWAG lightweight freight vehicle, the report will include the analysis and selection of materials.
