Periodic Reporting for period 1 - VIVAVE (Viral Vaccine Vectors in Personalized Medicine)

VIVAVE provided us with initial and vital information on the ability of a novel class of vaccine vectors. We have tested a vector that infects numerous types of human cells and expresses antigens in them, allowing recognition by CD8 T cells and their activation, but which due to its natural properties does not propagate itself in human cells. The vector was tested in several human cell and in coculture with human T cells. Testing of the vector in preclinical animal models will be continued through additional public funding, which was secured based on results from this the ERC PoC.
