A plan for the management of the data produced in the Project. It will be made available for the partners to ensure traceability, availability and quality assured handling of Project data. The partners that have their own routines for data managent can chose to follow that.
D8.2 Communication planA plan for the Projects Communication with its internal and external stakeholders
D1.2 Final workshopThe Executive Board through WP1 with EC support will organise an international symposium towards the end of the project to coincide with the final or penultimate project meeting This event will be aimed at the dissemination of Beacon outcomes to both the radioactive waste stakeholder community and also to scientists engineers policy makers and civil society from other relevant sectors Special consideration will be given to its location setup and content to increase its accessibility and value as knowledge transfer to LAPs and their participation will be encouraged Location to Luxembourg would be very suitable
D7.4 Publication planPublication plan (Publication of articles in scientific journals) It highlights communication actions such as main communication materials (website, project presentation) and events involving external participants, but also draws a framework to identify potential future actions. D7.5 Training CourseThe Beacon project will arrange one specific training course during the project, within WP7. The course is envisaged to take place at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain). It will take place very early in the project to maximize the impact. The duration is expected to be ~3 days. The topics of the course will be: 1. The issues around the mechanical evolution of bentonite in nuclear waste management 2. The fundamental science behind the mechanical properties of bentonite 3. Current conceptual and mathematical approaches 4. Hands on training with a computer code The main focus will be on 2), 3) and 4) above. The course will be directed toward the waste management community as well as students in areas of soil science, mechanical engineering, etc. The course will be arranged in collaboration of at least three of the academic institutions that are involved in the project.
