Objective

This project studied the possibilities of implementing the concepts of an advanced, user-oriented, command and response language as developed during the on-going standardisation work at the ISO and IFIP level on top of the Portable Common Tools Environment (PCTE). The main emphasis of the project was to provide a highly reliable, portable general user interface which can be tailored to the individual users needs and skills. Based on the prototype developed during the project, feedback was given for the further development of the PCTE user interface as well as into the on-going ISO/IFIP work in this area.
