Deliverables Documents, reports (9) Report on dissemination event and publications (Task 10.3) A report on the actual dissemination activities that were conducted throughout the proejct. This Report should already be available in draft form for the M18 meeting. Impact of Geo-Coat application on environmental footprint on geothermal power (Task 9.2) To validate the environmental benefit (as claimed by the proposed project) of Geo-Coat concept, we will perform comparative LCA for the two cases: one is related to Icelandic perspective and the other will be based on Romanian perspective. For each of the cases we will perform comparative LCA studies considering seven technology variants. Influence of passive film on the corrosion behaviour of the HEA coating (Task 3.6) For HVOF coatings, TEH will do experiments to establish the optimum parameters that should be reached to obtain a dense, continuous layer to achieve the surface requirements. Report on characterisation of geothermal fluid (Task 1.2) Collect samples of geothermal fluid from four different geothermal wells and analyse those in detail, as described in the DOA. ON will be supported by UoI and ICI in characterisation of the geothermal fluid, identification of the potential scope of Geo-Coat and review of the KPI and current options for representative substrate. Influence of heat treatment on mechanical and chemical properties of PFTE based composite coating Task 45 The report will summarise the results of the heat treatment on the properties of the plated composite material Impact of Geo-Coat on the sustainability of geothermal power (Task 9.3) TVS will give information regarding the use of geothermal power in Romania and work on geo coat opportunities on the sustainability on geothermal power Phase transformation rules to apply heat treatment during the HEA coating synthesis (Task 3.6) Scientific study on the passive film and heat treatment on corrosion behaviour of HEAs. UPB will provide the study on phase transformation rules for HEA. Impact of Geo-Coat application on LCOE (Task 9.1) To demonstrate the economic impact of the Geo-Coat concept, we will perform LCOE analysis for two cases: one will be related to Icelandic perspective and the other will be based on Romanian perspective. For both the cases, we will collect technical data such as depth to drill to intersect target formation, temperature of the target formation etc. We will also collect financial data such as, local power price, tax rate, discount rate or inflation rate etc. Using these data, we will estimate the probable Capex which will be calculated considering the current approach of material selection in geothermal project development. In the LCOE estimation, we will use parameterised value of Opex in the range of 2 to 3% of the Capex. Through a three-stage approach, we will compare this LCOE with that arise from the level of Geo-Coat application for both the cases. Influence of laser cladding process parameters on the substrate melting (Task 3.5) Using samples from Task 3.4 (D3.3), TWI will study the influence of laser cladding process parameter on substrate melting and effect of passive film and heat treatment on corrosion behaviour. Websites, patent fillings, videos etc. (1) A project website (Task 10.3) The project website will be created and regularly updated by TWI.
