Methodology for the horizontal and vertical analysis of the value chain

This deliverable consists of putting in place/adopting a relevant methodology to analyze the value chain, taking into account the characteristics of the players targeted in the project, their development strategies, the diversity of technological bricks in the emerging field of “Internet of Things” and the specificities of the 4 applicative domains in the scope of the project. It will be necessary to identify the specific distinctions of the different themes chosen by each hub while keeping a common framework for the analysis. The analysis will be two-fold: it will integrate both horizontal and vertical components, taking into account key elements of the value chain and the activity sectors. Furthermore, task leaders will pay particular attention to integrate elements allowing to analyze the specific characteristics of the value chain in each country. The methodology will have to put forward in an efficient way alliance and business opportunities according to the know-how and the solutions of the start-ups associated to the targeted ecosystems, but also, if necessary, in the larger European start-up ecosystem.

Scale-up event n°2

Each two-day long event will be composed of 4 main parts relying upon and contributing to extend the impacts of the different work-packages of the project : coaching the start-up for the fundraising pitch, the fundraising pitch event, a matchmaking event/business meeting to enhance market access and an open innovation workshop to facilitate the creation of collaboration projects. The second event will be organized by Silicon Alps.
