Evaluation and validation report consolidated through all pilot projects

The outcome of subtask 6.2a is an evaluation report about the assessed parameters, i.e. robustness, adaptability, acceptance and usability, consolidated within all pilot projects on a case by case basis.

Literature review

Scientific working paper with the literature review on multiple benefits in industry with a focus on how a multiple benefits approach can increase the uptake of energy-efficiency in organisations

Strategic communication and dissemination plan

Borg & Co with eceee and BPIE, with input and support from all partners, will develop and execute an external strategic communication and dissemination plan. This plan will define key target audiences and stakeholder groups of focus, including energy auditors/consultants, leading EU industry/buildings stakeholders and businesses (to inform and test the multiple benefits toolkit), relevant trade organisations, energy-efficiency networks and training organisations, etc, as well as the best tools to reach them. Communication strategies and dissemination approaches will be developed for each target audience and key stakeholder group. These will describe specific audience/stakeholder communication objectives, tailored content to be developed, channels and channel development. The plan will specify partner roles and responsibilities for execution and for maintaining consistency and high quality communications. It will include a timeline of key actions and be updated during the project lifetime. It will also include the project identity (logo, color schemes) and guidelines, as well as templates for Word documents, PPTs and some website design ideas. The plan will be developed and updated throughout the project to reflect project objectives and priorities, as informed by the stakeholder consultation process (WP7) and other work packages.

Engagement Strategy

A strategy will be developed to engage with stakeholders focusing around three key stages: 1. Informing them of the projects, its aims and objectives, and how it could benefit them 2. Consulting stakeholders around aspects of the methodology, training and proposed toolkits 3. Working with stakeholders to apply the project results within their organisations, in order to maximise uptake of the developed tools.

Guidelines for protocols, interventions and evaluations

The guidelines for protocols, interventions and evaluations will ensure a consistent methodological background for the latter tasks.

Publishable final report

All major findings of the project will be presented in the final publishable report.

Report on lessons learned for frameworks and concepts of multiple benefits

Lessons from the implementation of the MBenefits concept will be documented so that practitioners outside the project can learn from it We will highlight areas for improvement both in theoretical understanding of energyefficiency investment decisions and in design of energyefficiency policy programmes and projects for organisations

Final report on the engagement strategy

The final report on the engagement strategy will document the process and findings of the stakeholder engagement process.

Synergy Report

Report on synergies with other EC-funded projects and opportunities for international standardisation/harmonization of multiple benefits considerations in business processes

Scientific publication on the survey results and practical examples

This deliverable will compile the major findings of the evaluation process in a scientific publication.

Final publication of fact sheets

The fact sheets are a harmonisation of the questionnaire data with a standardised structure. Additionally to a short qualitative description of the conducted measure, those fact sheets will contain the quantitative key data structured in a harmonized way and the application of Multiple Benefits in the implementation of measures abstracted from the questionnaire data.

Quality assurance plan and risk management plan

This document presents the project's plans for quality assurance and risk management.

Reports on Pilot Projects

A minimum of 3 pilot projects per Member of Consortium (see list of participants above) will be set up and executed. Results are documented as reports, i.e. a total of at least 18 condensed reports will be issued.

Training materials in national languages

The training materials we be made available in the national languages of the implementation countries.

Project website

Objectives of the website include: • Promote project visibility across the EU and with key audience and stakeholder groups • Market and support communications and dissemination activities including events and conferences • Contain a library of project reports and outputs including training materials, webinars, tools, etc • Highlight project news, milestones, media coverage and linkages with other EU-funded projects and relevant industry initiatives • Include all project newsletters, as well as a newsletter subscription button • Have the Twitter account embedded

Final version of the questionnaire

A semi-standardised questionnaire will be designed. This will enable a range of quantitative and qualitative data to be collected, with key data harmonized, but with the flexibility to ensure important company-specific details are gathered. The questionnaire will be extensively pre-tested and revised prior to implementation, with feedback sought from practitioners and policy-makers, amongst other stakeholders.

General Public Dissemination Report

Press releases, newsletters, social media account creation and dissemination. Report/summary of publications, press-releases, press/industry coverage, dissemination activities, and social media activities

Publicly available data set from the survey

This deliverable will contain the survey data for public use. All data will be anonymized and data confidentiality will be ensured during the whole process of data collection and analysis. This is expected to be a key issue for participants, and close attention will be paid to the ethics of data collection and management.

MBs Identification and Evaluation Tools

The Evaluation Toolkit will include analytical tools enabling energy-efficiency professionals to identify, categorize, evaluate and quantify the MBs benefits of energy-efficiency projects. The Evaluation Toolkit will be used ex-ante, i.e. in the first identification and planning stage of energy-efficiency investment projects. It will be made available in the form of a software that integrates MBs categorization and the various analyses to be made in a systematic and easy way, including a financial spreadsheet to properly include both energy benefits and MBs in investment appraisal. The Evaluation Toolkit will also include a monitoring and control tool to check MBs ex-post, i.e. after the implementation of the projects, to verify results and keep track of projects.

MBs Communication Tools

- a “decision-making map” enabling energy experts to consider key aspects of the decisional context when conceiving and planning their energy-efficiency projects. - useful influential and motivational techniques to guide organisational behaviour (whether at corporate level, department level or individual level).

Serious Game

• The serious game will be developed with the open source platform Wegas • Introduction of content of the game (characters behavior, emails, and son on) • free hosting for all the project duration and 3 years after project termination for all members of the projects who should need access

Two to four European wide dissemination events. At least one to two workshops/events during the course of the project and one final conference Summary of protocols of all workshops/events, webinars and training sessions

Database of stakeholders, sorted by type

In order to achieve the widest possible influence, the consortium will garner its collective intelligence concerning organisations and experts operating in the target audience groups and establish a secure database of contacts comprising: • Owners and end users in industry, real estate and the public sector estate • Property managers • Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) • Associations and organisations representing the above bodies • Energy auditors and assessors

Online availability of courses

The courses will be held in form of webinars ad are made publicly available. The webinars will be differentiated in terms of content, in order to provide a comprehensive training experience, and focused respectively on the following topics: • Overview if the multiple benefits; • How to assess multiple benefits; • Use of the tools produced by the M-BENEFITS project. The webinars will be designed to last 60-120 minutes including a FAQ-session. Each webinar will be recorded and published on the M-BENEFITS Youtube-channel.
