The novelty of DryCoolerSeeds solves quality, economical and environmental problems that businesses in the seed industry face across the globe. The novel mechanism of DryCoolerSeeds allows the seeds to dry and/or cool in a unique way resulting in higher quality seeds and less waste. As a result DryCoolerSeeds offers businesses a higher return on investment. Moreover, the novel machine consumes significantly less energy, generating electrical cost savings to the businesses and less generation of green house gases. In return society gains more in high quality cereals and therefore higher quality food, derived from a sustainable industry.

The overall objective of this innovation project is develop the TRL6 DryCoolerSeeds prototype into a TRL9 market-ready product that can be commercialized in a global market in return of a sustainable and business growth.
The TRL6 prototype has evolved into two TRL9 commercial-ready machines of different capacity. Tests carried out by independent and recognised industry professionals show that DryCoolerSeeds provides superior benefits (seed quality, operation and energy efficiency) when compared to existing and state-of-the-art solutions. Concurrently dissemination and commercialization activities have been carried out both locally (Italy) and overseas.
On site tests have shown the novelty of DryCoolerSeeds in cooling and drying processes, resulting in better quality seeds and less energy consumption.
