Secured Cellular IoT Network

Periodic Reporting for period 2 - Secured IoT (Secured Cellular IoT Network)

Période du rapport: 2019-07-01 au 2020-06-30

"The Internet of Things (IoT) has been labelled as ""the next Industrial Revolution"" because of the way it will change the way people live, work, entertain, and travel, as well as how governments and businesses interact with the world. Along with the consumer products evolution, industrial products and applications are also becoming globally connected, creating a huge demand for machine-to-machine M2M connectivity.
Combined together, IoT and M2M markets are forecasted as ones of the largest and fastest growing markets in the next decades.
The two emerging markets share some commons technology needs; connectivity, management and security.
These 3 key items which has become commodity in personal computing and mobile communication are now becoming a challenge due to the enormous number of connected devices planned to be deployed in the coming years.
S-IoT is planned to create the next step in this mass connectivity evolution, focusing on network solutions that enables to connect, manage and secure massive amounts of connected devices. The S-IoT intends to enhance the IoT HyperCore platform (already introduced as V1.0) gives enterprise the capability to manage their part of the network, through a simple interface where self-service layers are available, assuring perfect customization and optimization. Thus, giving IoT users enterprises the benefit to be unlocked from mobile network operators, to dramatically reduce IoT cost and to assure of new level of cyber security. S-IoT security capabilities enable the cyber protection of low power devices being considered as a challenge for IoT manufacturers, due to limited resources in terms of energy and computing power.
JpU has identified the cellular IoT sector as the fastest initial revenue generator for these markets and has set as its short term strategy to gain the market starting from this sector. Therefore, as part of the Secured IoT project, JpU is delivering a versatile mobile network core adapted to this new market’s needs. As opposed to current market mobile core network solutions, which are designed to be run by mobile operators, JpU IoT HyperCore platform is designed to be controlled by enterprises, hiding the inherent complexities, and making running a Mobile IoT network as simple as managing the most basic office router, and basically eliminating the technological barrier associated with building a new MVNO.
"
JpU develops and markets a purpose-built mobile core for use by IoT and M2M vendors. The JpU HyperCore platform simplifies the management of complex IoT mobile networks and consolidates security for all connected devices. The JpU HyperCore solution is designed for network providers, IoT device manufacturers and enterprise IoT providers.
