Periodic Reporting for period 2 - Wonderlogix STUDIO (End-to-end web platform for the design and implementation of Industrial Control Systems)

WonderLogics Studio is an end-to-end environment for industrial process design, simulation and PLC programming. With WonderLogics, you can define the requirements in plain English and automatically generate top-quality PLC code and 100% accurate documentation.
OUR VISION: Become the Standard DevOps Software Platform for Industrial Automation.
In order to reach the company’s goals, we aim to achieve the following from 2018-2020:
1. Pre-release version
2. Validate the technology with pilot customers
3. Reach market-ready product release
4. Achieve simulation in a real HMI
5. Incorporate a billing system to the web app
6. Protect the invention by means of available IPR mechanisms
7. Finalize at least two different distribution agreements in each of the target markets (US and Europe)
8. Reach at least 100 pilots who will provide feedback for the development team
9. Build an online community to increase awareness in potential users
Although we met most of these goals, commercialization was not as successful as we planned.
The sales strategy was changed in an effort to improve commercialization, but unfortunately we still cannot say we have found the optimal one.
We keep promoting the exploration of new strategies to hopefully find one that will overcome the obstacles we have encountered.

As of the end of the project, a completely functioning version has been launched. This version of the program runs on a common PC environment and standard web connection.
A few customers are using the platform continuously for more than 2 years now.
More than 20 pilot projects projects clearly proved the value of our solution: shorter design time and improved quality, resulting in a better industrial facility.
Extensive dissemination activity was done during the project, including webinars, users community, exhibitions and distribution agreements.
We did not succeed however to reach the point were these activities return the investment they require.
Analyzing back, it seems that the adoption rate of our solution was too low.

Although code programming and process design sounds technical and quite irrelevant to most people, it is related to all of us.
