Project description
Smart broadcast monitoring
As the global television and radio landscape changes continuously, content owners are pressed to effectively manage their media assets. Having knowledge of the broadcast reality is critical for distributors and broadcasters who are interested in a reliable log file, proving that music or adverts were delivered to the consumer under agreed conditions. Continuous monitoring is prohibitive but SoundID offers a tracking solution that allows for cost-effective content management. SoundID contains a report generator, enabling creation of any report, by any criteria and filter. The novel technology covers an extraordinary range of applications and target users, which makes it highly marketable.
Objective
The field of broadcast monitoring is and will be an extremely important measuring instrument for different parties involved in music production, broadcasting, advertising and music consumption. Automatic broadcast monitoring of media channels permits advertising agencies to reliably check if and when commercials were broadcasted. Similarly, broadcasters are interested in a reliable log file of their transmission schedule as an independent proof that music/commercials are delivered to the consumer under the predefined conditions. Artists and music publishers can determine exact figures on how often a certain title was played to get their respective royalties. Based on the data gathered, the real market penetration is also estimated.
The cost of 24×7 manual monitoring is prohibitive, but automation drastically reduces costs. Independent broadcast monitoring based on SoundID fingerprints can help everyone get a handle on their content, with great economic advantages.
SoundID is a powerful and cost-effective platform specifically designed for broadcast monitoring. It allows broadcasters and content providers to log and monitor any number of radio or TV channels, from any input and any format. It offers an advanced automatic audio commercials detection and track solution combined with a robust feature-set allowing detection of recurring spots in linear broadcasts. SoundID contains a report generator, allowing to create any report, by any criteria and filter. It also provides additional audio recognition services such as finding music by sound, marketing support, copyright detection, etc. Our technology covers an extraordinary range of applications and target users, which makes it highly marketable.
