Second Intermediate Project Report

This deliverable provides a summary of the major results and achievements of the project during the second year of the project and detail the resources spent

Report on Design and Installation of 5G Trial System in Reutlingen

This deliverable will describe the designed and installed 5G trial system in the semiconductor factory in Reutlingen including all considered requirements and constraints, and the deployment model.

First Report on new technological features to be supported by 5G standardization and their implementation impact

This deliverable will present proposed technological features for 5G standardization, which address requirements of the smart manufacturing use cases. It will describe development and evaluation of features that relate to integration of 5G with TSN and Industrial LAN, 5G-supported positioning in manufacturing plants, and time synchronization between heterogeneous networks. The results contained in this deliverable will be used in WP6. A follow-up to this report is in M30.

Design of 5G-Based Testbed for Industrial Robotics

This deliverable will provide specifics of the 5G testbed design. It will describe the testbed architecture and functional roles of its components, outline the needed communication interfaces, and comprise a list of the planned equipment and software. The results contained in this deliverable will be used in A2.2.

Radio network deployment options for smart manufacturing

This deliverable will result from the work of A1.4 on radio network deployment options including the spectrum co-existence aspects for industrial networks.

Report on 5G Capabilities for Enhanced Industrial Manufacturing Processes

The last deliverable of WP3 reports the suitability of the designed systems and prototypes of the activities A32 to A34 Properties and characteristics of the designed systems will be summarized Advantages disadvantages and problems that occurred during IT integration and machining tests will be discussed

Final report on impact and dissemination for the development of industry, standardisation and regulation synergies

This report will summarise the synergy creation and potential standardisation work in the project It will evaluate the outcome of the project dissemination plan It quantifies and lists the project prospective contributions to 5GSMART manufacturing standards and regulation

Report describing framework for 5G system and network management functions

The report will provide framework solution for new management function for entire communication system for manufacturing use cases of WP 1

Operator Business Models for Smart Manufacturing

This deliverable will result from the work of A13 in Work Package 1 on operator business models including MNO value proposals as well as models involving the manufacturer as the network owner

Report on Industrial Shop-floor Wireless Infrastructure

The first deliverable is due after the first six month of the project. This deliverable is strictly related to A3.1 and will report the testing methods and test conditions for the tests done in A3.1. A detailed description of the test results will be included in combination with interpretations concerning the consequences for all following tasks planned in this project.

5G-Based Testbed for Trials with Industrial Robotics

In this deliverable the implementation of the trials testbed will be presented The deliverable will also describe demonstration of basic testbed features The results outlined in this deliverable will be used in A23

Report on 5G Radio Deployability in the Factory

This deliverable will contain the full description of the results of work carried out in A41 including details of the designed and conducted tests setups evaluation of the channel measurements tests and developed channel models and evaluation of EMC tests

Report on the Development of 5G Use Cases

This deliverable will contain a detailed description of the developed and finalized use cases including final endtoend integrated system for Cloudbased mobile robotics as well for TSNIndustrial LAN over 5G system

First Report on 5G network architecture options and assessments

The deliverable will propose network architecture options along with assessment for manufacturing scenarios. A follow-up to this deliverable is in M30.

Forward looking smart manufacturing use cases, requirements and KPIs

This deliverable will result from the full-fledge work of A1.1 in Work Package 1 and will include a detailed description of forward-looking smart factory use cases together with corresponding requirements and KPIs.

Intermediate Report on Dissemination and Exploitation Activities

This deliverable will describe the project dissemination plan for industry stakeholders, standardisation and regulation bodies. It will identify important events, meetings and workshops by consortiums, alliances and government agencies in which the project shall contribute and participate.

Validation of 5G Capabilities for Industrial Robotics

This deliverable will present in detail the specified validation methodology including its objectives evaluation scenarios and procedures It will report on the measurement data gathered in the testbed and provide 5G conformance analysis The deliverable will also report on the gathered experiences with deploying and using 5Genhanced industrial equipment This includes the results from the coexistence study where the impact of an outdoor macro network onto the 5G indoor industrial 5G network and viceversa is investigated The results described in this deliverable will be used in A62 to propose potential technology improvements for 5G standardization eg in the scope of 3GPP efforts

Impact and dissemination plan for academic research, development of industry, standardisation and regulation synergies

This deliverable will describe the project’s academic dissemination plan as well as dissemination plan for industry stakeholders, standardisation and regulation bodies. It will identify important academic events, meetings, workshops in which the project shall contribute and participate. It will further establish a strategic plan for dissemination of the project results.

Evaluation of radio network deployment options

This deliverable will result from the work of A14 in Work Package 1 on the radio network performance analysis of the identified use cases and deployment options It will also include the detailed analysis of the radio latency and reliability as well as the tradeoff analysis between the low latency highreliability and spectralcontrol signalling efficiency for the identified deployment options

Report on Implementation of Options for Monitoring of Workpiece and Machines

In month 22 of the project prototypes of the systems described in A32 to A34 will be available and ready for the first testing under real working conditions on the IPT trial site D33 reports the final implementation in terms of hard and software

Analysis of business value creation enabled by 5G for manufacturing industries

This deliverable will result from the work of A12 in Work Package 1 on business value creation for manufacturers using 5G

Report on System Design Options for Monitoring of Workpieces and Machines

This deliverable will contain a detailed description of the test use case systems designed and developed in A3.2, A3.3 and A3.4. This includes the requirements analysis and possible solutions to enable the tradeoff required to ensure flexibility and good performance of the prototypes. The outcome of this deliverable will be the main input for all further developments.

Report on Validation of 5G Use Cases in the Factory

This final deliverable of WP4 will contain the full description of the conducted validation tests including the achieved results issues encountered lessons learned
