Home Systems Testing Consortium: Tools and Services

Objective

This project is the logical continuation of work done in previous ESPRIT projects, especially project 6784 (HS CONFORMANCE) devoted to establishing test specifications for home systems.

The primary task of the works of this project is to prepare the establishment of independent Conformance Testing and Product Certification facilities for Home Systems products, built according to the Home Systems Specifications.

Specific objectives are:

- the development of conformance test tools for a home systems bus
- the development of corresponding testing services in France and Germany
- the marketing of test tools development.

Additional specific tests will be added for application testing and interoperability trouble-shooting.
