Deliverables

Report on noise impact from active technologies (fluidic actuators/air curtain) numerical simulations validated through dedicated experiments (opens in new window)

The deliverable will describe the noise reduction achieved with the use of passive noise reductions technologies by describing the impact of the use of the different NRTs on small and full scale model and compare this to the baseline configuration. Focus will be made on optimization of the porosity behaviour with different parameter.

Numerical investigation of spoiler noise generation and mitigation (opens in new window)

Report on spoiler noise generation as assessed by means of numerical acoustic simulations and compared against experimental results. Identification and description of major noise generation mechanism.

Parametric study on slat noise reduction and selection of best NRTs based on porous treatments (opens in new window)

Report summarizing the acoustic properties of the tested porous treatments for slat noise reduction Rank order NRTs according noise P1 and technical mechanical effort for implementation P2 Both should be assessed for model scale

Report on numerical simulation of noise reduction of LG wake/flap interaction, validated through dedicated experiments (opens in new window)

The deliverable will focus on the numerical and experimental studies: comparison between both and analysis of effectiveness of noise-reducing measures.

Parametric study on slat track noise generation and mitigation and selection of best low-noise slat track designs (opens in new window)
