Créer le nouveau marché européen des données géospatiales
Les données géospatiales alimentent tous les services et produits et applications. Un marché européen des données géospatiales industrielles fiable, sûr et très évolutif est essentiel pour servir de guichet unique à la découverte, au partage, à l’échange, à la rémunération et à l’utilisation simplifiés et fiables des actifs de données géospatiales exclusives. Le projet OpertusMundi, financé par l’UE, développera ce composant manquant de l’économie européenne des données inspiré par les défis posés par l’industrie relatifs à la chaîne de valeur fragmentée des données géospatiales dans l’UE. Le marché pourra adapter les besoins actuels et futurs des parties prenantes de l’économie des données, indépendamment de leur taille et de leur domaine. En plus de créer cette plateforme de données industrielles, le projet garantira également son fonctionnement durable.
Objectif
OpertusMundi will deliver a trusted, secure, and highly scalable pan-European industrial geospatial data market, which will act as a single-point for the streamlined and trusted discovery, sharing, trading, remuneration, and use of proprietary and commercial geospatial data assets, guaranteeing low-cost and flexibility to accommodate the current and emerging needs of Data Economy stakeholders regardless of their size, domain, and expertise. Our goal is inspired by, and grounded on, the real-world landscape and industry-led challenges of the fragmented geospatial data value chain in the EU, the most valuable and foundational thematic area of proprietary data, aiming to deliver a critical missing component and enabler for EU’s Data Economy. The output of our work will go beyond the simple provision of an Industrial Data Platform, ensuring its sustainable and profitable operation after the end of the project.
