Biogas fired co-generation-plant combined with an underground seasonal heat store

Objective

Increasing the annual operation hours of decentral CHP plants to more than 6,000 or even 7,000 hours per year. Utilization of biogas in a decentral CHP plant to deliver a high share of the heat and electricity demand of the connected consumers (up to 85 or even 90 %) from renewable resources all over the year. No production of waste heat even during summer. High reduction of CO2-emissions compared with separated power and heat generation by fossil fuels (about 0,5 kg/kWh on average). Reducing the investment costs of the energy supply system.
