Securaxis is a Swiss company founded in Geneva in 2015. Our aim is the development of safety & security solutions by leveraging new technologies, using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and data science. Over the last 2 years, we have developed RTExD, which detects and analyses sounds in any environment and locates, classifies and reports them accurately. This has a wide range of applications: infrastructure health monitoring, smart safety for smart cities, biodiversity monitoring or traffic monitoring. We have engaged in the development of RTExD international stakeholders and feasible clients who are willing to incorporate our system in their assets. The overall aim of the project is to take RTExD from its current TRL7 to TRL9 and to market launch by 2022.
In this Feasibility Study, we have analyzed the implementation of RTExD. We have carried out research and analyses concerning various fields: Technical plan, Commercial plan and Business plan.
Among the objectives achieved we can highlight: analysis of existing prototypes and definition of the Work Plan (tasks, timing, resources) to be followed for the required future improvements; analysis of different manufacturing options to ensure our scaling-up capacity; a deeper knowledge of the market structure and needs, the competitors within it and our positioning; the potential of our RTExD, both technical and commercial; the business plan to be followed to reach the market in the next 24months.

RTExD is a break-through technology that combines a real-time acoustic monitoring sensor with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology for the first time. Thanks to its unique algorithm, RTExD incorporates a predictive function, which minimises human intervention and allows real-time event detection and alarm notification. RTExD will allow a more efficient and smarter operation of smart cities (e.g. traffic monitoring on roads or biodiversity interference with urban areas) and a better whole-life value of the assets that comprise them.
