Objective
A bioluminescent optical fiber biosensor will be developed to monitor the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. This assay includes immunological specificity for the monocytogenesspecies, bioluminescent phage screening for the presence of the Listeria genus and very high sensitivity from the optical fiber-optoelectronics system (estimated assay time between 6-14 hours). Confirmation of the results will be obtained by the classical culture method (48 hours). This sensor will be used in the agro-industry.
