Training tutors/mentors and placement co-ordinators

Objective

OBJECTIVES
The placements of trainees via the network set up by the Academy of Strasbourg have led to a very high demand for the training of corporate placement tutors/mentors and the placement co-ordinators of training institutions, particularly when they are required to monitor foreign trainees. This is why the partners involved in this project intend to improve the quality of corporate placements of students undergoing initial training by devising a suitable training course for tutors and co-ordinators.

ACTIVITIES
Research will firstly be carried out in order to identify the best practices and the weaknesses of corporate placements, so as to be able to pinpoint the contents of the new training course. The partners will then create a self-training tool for corporate tutors and placement co-ordinators at training institutions. This tool will then be tested and evaluated, then distributed to all tutors and co-ordinators of the European network of the Academy of Strasbourg.

PRODUCTS
This self-training tool will consist of two parts:
- A national part which will provide information on the trainee's environment (objectives of the placement, content, etc.).
- A transnational part common to all those involved giving guidelines on accommodation, supervision, trainee assessment.
