Objective
OBJECTIVES
The present project proposes to help companies to respond to the increasing demands in Europe in the area of environmental protection. Its main objective is to create a training programme providing instruction in good environmental management inside and outside the company. The partners believe that all employees of a company are responsible for the environment and are proceeding from the assumption that in order to operate an effective environmental policy a company has to involve all its employees. This training course is designed for the metallurgical, mechanical engineering, electrical, electronics and plastics industries.
ACTIVITIES
After having reviewed the training material already existing in this area, the partners will move on to the design of the training programme, which will be organised in three separate parts. The first part will be a guide aimed at making company managers aware of the environment and the necessity of taking this dimension into account. The second part of the training course will cater more broadly for all employees of the company and will be aimed at helping them to develop the necessary "environmental awareness" and at familiarising them with the parameters which need to be taken into consideration. It will be in the form of a dynamic, interactive multimedia application. The third part will enable managers to implement an environmental management policy specific to their company and to their involvement with the environment, using a pre-established structure.
PRODUCTS
A three-part training programme available in 7 languages (a guide for company managers, a course on good environmental management on CD-ROM for the employees, a guide to the introduction of a corporate environmental management policy).
