Multimedia automobile training

Objective

OBJECTIVES
The objective of this project is to reinforce existing links between training centres, universities and the automotive industry, by means of specific training designed for graduates on the one hand, and for technicians and engineers in the automotive industry on the other. A further aim is to develop synergy between various European initiatives and programmes by linking the LEONARDO DA VINCI programme with other programmes in the fields of training (Euroform and ESF), and research and development (Brite). To this end, a course on vehicle manufacture will be developed under the project, in the form of a multimedia system (CD-ROM) and exchanges on the Internet.

ACTIVITIES
Firstly the partners will embark upon the design of a multimedia system dealing with vehicle manufacture, to be established in co-operation with the research centres of vehicle manufacturers of world-wide renown such as FIAT, Ferrari and Lamborghini. They will then go on to produce a distance learning course. The last step will consist of setting up a distance-learning tutor-support system and training information system on the Internet.
