Objective
OBJECTIVES
Apprenticeship training does not always meet the specific needs of companies. It has, for example, been observed that people who have been unemployed for a long period and young people with a low level of qualification have difficulty in putting their theoretical training into practice at the workplace. The project is therefore aimed at providing companies in the construction sector with a methodology which will enable workers with a low level of qualification to develop core skills at the workplace, for their entire working lives. This will enable the workers to improve their skills and the companies to be more efficient.
ACTIVITIES
An analysis of the training requirements of the partner companies will be carried out. The core skills which need to be acquired in order to respond to these requirements will be incorporated in a training programme which can be implemented in the workplace, and a methodology suitable for this type of training will be developed. The programme and the methodology used will be tested on the basis of criticisms formulated by the companies and workers, re-adapted if necessary, and distributed over as wide an area as possible.
PRODUCTS
The aim of the project is to devise a training approach which is suitable for people who are disadvantaged with regard to the job market. It will identify the training requirements which arise in companies, and develop a training programme enabling core skills to be acquired at the workplace, and a methodology suitable for this type of training.
